Every effort has been made to incorporate the most current FAA policy guidance, including the latest amendments to the Policy Letters published by the FAA Flight Operations Policy Board (FOPB). Whereas, Saab’s MELPG is designed to assist operators which comply with the LFV-Approved MMEL, it has been found to provide invaluable guidance for those relief items also found in the FAA-Approved MMEL. Also consulted in detail were the recommended maintenance (“M”) and operational (“O”) procedures which Saab Aircraft AB has published in the Saab 340 Minimum Equipment List Procedures Guide (MELPG). The benchmarked MMEL represents thorough comparison and rationalization with the Saab 340 Master Minimum Equipment List (MMEL) Approved by the Swedish Luftfartsverket (LFV), the home country regulatory authority. This effort has been undertaken by the Saab 340 Flight Operations Evaluation Board (FOEB), in close consultation with representatives of the manufacturer, Saab Aircraft AB. This Revision constitutes a “benchmarking” of the FAA-Approved Saab-340 MMEL. Please replace affected pages with this Revision for a complete and up-to-date MMEL.
